What should my oil
pressure be?
Your oil pressure,
according to factory Harley Davidson specs is as follows: With a warm
engine, oil pressure at cruising speed of 55 m.p.h. and up should be 30 -
36 p.s.i. At idle, at least 10 p.s.i. With initial start-up being around
44 p.s.i.

I have lousy oil pressure, do I need a new oil pump?
Probably not. We have found that 98% of all oil pumps are all right. The problem with lousy oil pressure is the weak spring in the pressure relief valve. Our products address and correct this problem. (The exception being if you have grooves in the gear pockets of the oil pump body, then your pump needs replaced.)

Can I install the
"Superpump-Kit" or "Pro-Just" myself?
Yes! The "Superpump-Kit" and "Pro-Just" are very easy to install. Please go to "Evo Tech" or "Shovel Tech" to see how easy it is.

Does the "Superpump-Kit" or "Pro-Just" restrict oil flow?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Both of these products actually increase the oil flow through the engine by increasing the oil pressure
delivered to the engine. Drops of 10-20 degrees F. are also realized in oil operating temperature!

What engines does the "Superpump-Kit" or "Pro-Just" work on?
Our products work on all Harley Davidson motorcycles (74 & 80 Cubic Inch). This includes "Knuckle" and "Pan" engines that have been updated with an aluminum bodied oil pump, along with "Shovel" and "Evolution" engines that come factory
equipped (stock) with an aluminum oil pump.

Does the "Superpump-Kit"
and the "Pro-Just" work on aftermarket pumps?
Yes! Our products work on most of the aftermarket pumps including "S & S", "Rev-Tech" and others. We have sold quite a lot of kits for these pumps with the same wonderful results.

Why should I purchase E.R.T. Products vs. a new oil pump?
First of all,
oil pumps are expensive, whether you buy an oil pump from Harley
Davidson or you buy an aftermarket oil pump. Secondly, most of the oil
pumps on the market are direct copies of the Harley Davidson oil pump
and ALL of the pumps have the weak pressure relief spring. Finally, YOU
can install our products, most people are unable to replace their own
oil pump and will have to pay a shop to do it. Increasing the final
cost, and you will still need our products to get the right oil
pressure!
